In October, the First Graders at Indian Trail school welcomed the colors of fall with a special pumpkin day. We read the book The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin and discussed the importance of treasuring the uniqueness in everyone. The students explored some of the 3-dimensional shapes of the pumpkins from the story. Then, the students created their own unique pumpkins to display in our pumpkin patch. We ended our day of learning by watching the animated version of the book. Happy fall to everyone!
