About Mrs. Bulfer, Assistant Principal

Welcome to Rogus!  This will be my sixth year as assistant principal.  I have been in education for over 20 years and have been a teacher and an instructional coach.   Outside of the Rogus family, I have a family of my own.  I live in Schererville, Indiana with my husband and two sons.  I also have a dog named, Rizzo.  I love spending time going to Cubs games and at the beach with my family.  I also enjoy watching my boys participate in their sports and activities and taking Rizzo for walks.  It is important to that everyone feels like they are a part of the Rogus family where we value acceptance, belonging, and community.  Everything we do at Rogus involves our PBIS expectations of being respectful, responsible, safe, and kind.  This year we are focusing on thinking big for our students and staff and asking them to take risks and try new things.  We recognize that each of our students are individuals with different learning goals.  We want to help our students achieve those goals.

About Mr. Bradley, Principal
Greetings and welcome to the Rogus family!  As a fifth year Rogus Elementary principal, I continue to be excited with the opportunity to educate and serve our students and their families.  Acceptance, belonging, and community have been long standing values at DJR and I remain grateful to have joined a school team that works diligently to instill these beliefs every day.  I joined the Summit Hill community as an assistant principal at SHJH in 2015 and have been a classroom teacher and administrator for over twenty years.  I live in Plainfield, Illinois with my wife and two boys and our dog Waffles.  In my free time I love to spend time outdoors camping, cycling, or just reading a good book under the shade of a tree on a sunny day.  During the winter months, my family enjoys board game nights, warm fires, and ski trips.  This year’s district theme is “Think BIG” and we will be doing this at DJR for all our students by focusing on student growth and social and emotional connections.  All of our students deserve a year of growth during their time with us through engaging instruction, meaningful relationships and by having a safe and positive school environment.  We will work persistently as an educational team to provide this for all of our students and families.
