Welcome back to school! I am one of the music teachers at the junior high, the orchestra director for the district, and the junior high choir director. It is a pleasure to work with the students and community of Summit Hill School District 161. Please contact me with any questions or concerns and I will be happy to help. I look forward to teaching your student this year! Parents, If your student is having hardware troubles with your school-issued tablet (bad screen, blue screen issues, non-functioning keyboard, etc.), please communicate with your child’s teachers that you are having technology issues and may have limited ability to complete assignments. Afterward, please email tech directly at shjhtechsupport@summithill.org. Please be sure to include your email contact information, along with your child's name, grade, and a description of the problem. They will try remote repairs with you first. If that does not work, they will work with you to send out a replacement unit via UPS, which will include a return label for the non-working tablet.

Assignments

Re-assessment Policy: Students who receive a D or F on a written summative may re-take it in class. I will work with them to make sure they understand their errors and also expect students to practice/study the content as needed.
