First Grade

First grade students are working on rhythm and steady beat. They are exploring dynamics and how they change. Students are Identifying piano and forte. First grade students are learning to move to music.

Second Grade

Second grade students are working on their music for the Winter Program. They are exploring percussion instruments that are pitched and non-pitched. Second grade students will be playing both types of instruments.

Third Grade

Third grade students are working on their music for the Winter Program. They are learning to identify pitches on the Treble Clef. Students are identifying notes and their names on the treble clef. They are exploring musical symbols.

Fourth Grade

Fourth grade students are working on their pieces for the Winter Program. They are playing chimes as well. Students will be reviewing musical symbols and notes on the treble clef.

First grade through fourth grade students are working very hard on preparing their Winter Program.  They are singing, dancing, and having a lot of fun.  Fourth grade students are putting their note reading ability to the test as they play hand chimes.  They are very excited to play these instruments and cannot wait for their parents to hear. 
We recently started a new Internet Safety Curriculum called Common Sense Media.  This program focuses on teaching students to make safe, smart, and ethical decisions online.  Please look for the weekly family note for the topic covered each week.  For more information about Common Sense Media visit the following web page: Common Sense Media
