Here’s what’s happening in our room the week of October 16-20
This week we will be reading “The Ugly Vegetable.” The genre of the story is realistic fiction. The essential question is, “What can you learn from growing a garden?”. The vocabulary words are: blooming, shovels, scent, tough, wrinkled, plain, muscles, and nodded. The vocabulary stagey is homophones.
We will be discussing proper nouns this week.

We are beginning Chapter 3 which focuses on basic facts. Please continue to practice math facts daily.
We will continue to learn about Animals and Plant Dependence. Please visit the STEMscope link on my webpage for some extension activities that support what we are discussing in class. The test forthis chapter will be on Oct. 26th.

October 18- Field Trip to Brookfield Zoo- Please remember to wear your class shirt, bring a disposable lunch, and dress for the weather. Hopefully Mother Nature cooperates J
