Here’s what’s happening in our room the week of October 22-26
Reading: This week will be reading, “Stellaluna.” This story is about a bat, that escaped from an owl but lost her mother in the attack. Adopted by a mother bird, she learned to live like a bird until she was reunited with her mother. But, Stellaluna doesn’t forget her bird friends, who took care of her and helped her survive. A lovely story portraying the power of resilience and friendship. Grammar: We will be reviewing verbs and nouns.

The review for this chapter will be on Monday and test on Tuesday. We will also begin Chapter 4 which focuses on addition with regrouping. Please continue to practice math facts daily.
Science: We will continue to learn about Animals and Plant Dependence Important Dates: October 25-26: Pumpkin Contest entries due Oct. 30: Pumpkins from contest will go home Oct. 30: Scholastic Book orders due Oct. 31- Fall Fest and Parade at 2:40 (Weather Permitting) **As the weather is beginning to change please remember to send your child to school with a jackets, hats, and gloves if necessary.
