Week of February 26th - March 2nd
Dear Parents,
March will soon be here!  SHEF is sponsoring a BINGO night on Friday, March 2nd.  Please consider bringing your family out for this fundraiser and for a fun night of BINGO!
Our story this week is: The Garden
High Frequency Words- few    night    loudly    window    noise    story    shall    would
Spelling Words- far    arm    yard    art    jar    bar    barn    bark    card    yarn
In math, we are finishing Chapter 8 on addition and subtraction of higher numbers.  We are using a 100 chart to add and subtract 10s and 1s.  The children will have access to a 100 chart while working independently and during a test.  This can be a very helpful tool. In Chapter 9 we will learn about Measurement.
In social studies, we are learning about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
In science, we will be learning about animals and their parts.
Thank you to all of the families who are participating in Math-a-Thon!  Information for the next step will be sent home as soon as we receive it from St. Jude.  Your participation means so much to so many families!!
We will have a half day of school on Friday, March 2nd.
We do not have school on Monday, March 5th due to Casimir Pulaski Day.

I can’t thank you enough for everything you do to support your child, myself, and our school.  You are AWESOME!!
          Sincerely,
          Mrs. Joyce Chakos :)
