For the week of April 22, 2019
Monday, April 22nd - no school - Spring Holiday
Thank you for visting our Wax Museum.  The students did a fantastic job.  Thank you for all your help with the posters and costumes.
NEWS FLASH - Kindergarten Registration is going on...and so is Reregistration.  Hurry on over to the District Office and reregister your child.  

Reading: The Goat in the Rug - our tests will be on Friday this weoice
Language Skill:  Irregular verbs - our test will be on Friday this week.
Spelling Words: our test will be on Friday this week.
 
 
 
 
Math:  Chapter 10 - Graphing Data - we will learn how to take a survey, use tally marks, make picture graphs and bar graphs, and answer questions pertaining to the data they found.
Thank you for continuing to work on math facts at home.
Science:  Mapping Our World will be our next STEMscope.  
Social Studies:  We will be learning about landforms.
Handwriting: Cursive is moving along.  We are practicing our letters so we can learn how to be neat when we write our names.
Grandparents/Special Guest Day is coming up.  This will tie into the book fair. Our time will be on Monday, April 29th.  More information went home on Friday. It was an orange piece of paper.  Younger siblings will not be allowed during this time.
Summative Reassessment Forms will be handed out for when students recieve a "D" or "F".  The form needs to be returned for the reassessment to happen.  Please note the date the reassessment will be given.




Important Dates

  • April 12, 2019 : Wax Museum Costumes & Posters are due
    Posters should not be bigger than 11 x 14 things to include on the poster - person's name, pictures, some facts
  • April 17, 2019 : Wax Museum Day - Photo ID's are required when entering the building
    10:30-11:00 AM in the Art Room Photo ID's are required to enter the building
  • April 19, 2019 : Spring Holiday
  • April 22, 2019 : Spring Holiday
  • April 29, 2019 : Grandparents/Special Guest Day for our learning center time --- Photo ID's are required
    Grandparents or Special Guests can read to my students during our learning center time. We will also visit the Book Fair afterwards. More information will come home in the next week. Look forward to meeting everyone! Please remember: Photo ID's are required when entering the school.
  • May 2, 2019 : Reading Night and Book Fair
    Hope to see you there! Reading Night will be from 4:30-5:30.
