WHO WE ARE

The Summit Hill Educational Foundation, otherwise known as "SHEF," is a not-for-profit organization established in 2006 for the Summit Hill School District 161, serving grades Pre-K through 8th grade in the communities of Tinley Park, Frankfort, and Mokena, Illinois.

Our volunteer board is comprised of district parents, teacher liaisons, and administrative representatives from the district and school board. The mission of the foundation is to creatively generate financial support to enrich and enhance the opportunities and educational experiences of Summit Hill School District 161 students.

MAKING AN IMPACT

Throughout the year, SHEF raises money through various events and fundraisers in order to fund school projects that are beyond the school district's budget that greatly aid and enhance the learning process in our classrooms. SHEF also assists with funding district grants that help with the improvement of technology throughout our district schools. Since our inception in 2006, SHEF has awarded over $1 million to our district schools to support all our students.

Ways to Support SHEF

Beyond our fundraising activities, SHEF depends on the generous support of individuals and businesses like you! Please consider making a tax deductible donation to the Summit Hill Educational Foundation.
