Assignments
-Beginning April 6th, 2020, all speech therapy materials, activities and assignments will be sent weekly to students individually through Microsoft Office 365 Teams. A team entitled "Speech" has been created for each student. If students have any problems with accessing materials through teams please email me and I will send work via email. I will be available to answer questions or concerns Monday through Friday 8:30am-1:30pm.
Missing all my students and hoping everyone is healthy and finding ways to enjoy all the together time!

Speech Work 4-20-20
Speech students should continue to check Microsoft Office 365 Teams for updated speech assignments. Work is individualized and based on progress from last week. Students who have not completed previously assigned work will receive messages in Teams and parents will be emailed. If there are any issues or problems with too much or not enough work, please reach out and let me know. I am available to support students as much as I can and I also don't want to overwhelm them with additional work on top of their core subjects. Please email me with any questions, concerns or suggestions.

Individual student work will be available on Teams. I am available to answer questions any time during office hours Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 1:30pm. Students can send messages directly to me through Teams. If students would like to speak directly with me please message me and we can set up a time to chat! I will also be on Zoom meetings with Mrs. Doornbos Tuesdays at 10am.for 8th grade ELA students.

Speech assignments for this week have been sent to each student individually through Microsoft Office 365 Teams. All assignments given to date can be turned in at any time. If students have questions or are struggling with any work assigned, they can reach out to me through teams or email. I will also be attending the Zoom meeting with Mrs. Doornbos for 8th grade SI ELA on Tuesdays at 10:00-10:30am.

Speech Work 5-18-2020
This is our last week of remote learning! Traditionally, the last week in speech is a fun game of some sort that encompasses many of the language skills that students have worked on over the year. This week I created a Jeopardy-like game that challenges students to use language processing skills to answer questions about summer topics. Students can attempt to answer all the questions and get dollar points and challenge all of their peers in speech classes. At the end of the week when I have received all the answers back I will let each student know where he or she ranked among all of the competitors. There may even be a prize for the top 5 scores. All of the students have received a copy of the game in Teams, however, I've attached a copy in the links here as well.
All other speech work that has not been completed can still be completed and turned in by 5-22-20.
Thank you to all of the students who diligently worked on their assignments each week. I've missed seeing everyone and working face to face. I wish all of my students a fun and healthy summer! To all of my 8th graders, it's been a great two years getting to know you all. I've enjoyed working with each and every one of you and I'm proud of all of your hard work and progress. I hope you have tremendous success in high school and come back to visit us at Summit Hill once in awhile.
