Newsletter for the week of October 16-20

 

**Please be aware that our schedule of activities, assignments, and summatives are subject to change. The students will utilize their assignment notebooks to receive the most up to date information.

 

***Parents/Guardians – please continue to sign the behavior tracker each week and summatives as they are returned and sent home.

 

**As the weather is changing and it begins to get cooler, please remember to send your child to school with the appropriate clothing when going outside for recess.

READING/LANGUAGE ARTS

 

We’re wrapping up the story “Sacagawea” in the beginning of the week. We will continue to work on text structure and onomatopoeia throughout the week.

We continue with Plant and Animal Parts. At the end of last week, the class worked awesome together to complete the second activity. The groups will be sharing their work from this activity to the class on Monday. Look for the study guide on Plant and Animal Parts to come home with your child towards the end of the week.

 

SOCIAL STUDIES

 

Before we continue with the expansion of the west, the students are going to learn about the states of the Northeast Region. They will be creating their own maps labeling (states, capitals, rivers, etc.) and learning a variety of things about this region of our country.
