Newsletter for the week of December 10-14
 
**Please be aware that our schedule of activities, assignments, and summatives are subject to change. The students will utilize their assignment notebooks to receive the most up to date information.
 
**Please view the Reassessment Criteria and form on my webpage under Downloads. I have explained the guidelines to my students regarding reassessment either for a grade lower than a C, or reassessment on a summative with an A, B, or C. Students have been shown where this form is located in the classroom if he/she chooses to reassess on a summative grade of an A, B, or C.
 
~Now that the weather has changed and it is getting cooler, please remember to send your child to school in a sweatshirt/coat/ jacket to be worn outside for recess. Students will be going out if the temperature is above 20 degrees.
 
***The Indian Trail Winter Program is scheduled for December 14th. You will receive 4 tickets per student to enter the program. Your tickets will go home on December 10th. There are two shows 10:00 am show for families with the last name beginning with A-L and a 1:30 show for families with the last names beginning with M-Z. Doors 12 and 13 will open approximately 30 minutes before show time.
***Students will be NWEA Testing and taking the 5 Essential Survey this week.
 
READING/LANGUAGE ARTS
 
We will begin our next story called “Invasion from Mars.” The focus skill is story structure and the vocabulary strategy is Suffixes. In Language Arts, students will work on creating some Holiday Couplets.

The class will be completing first activity on Reactive Hearing.
 
SOCIAL STUDIES
 
We are currently learning about the Missouri Compromise of 1820 and the Compromise of 1850. Study guide will be completed early in the week.
